Analysis and optimization of the main girder of the bridge crane with an asymmetric box cross-section

The presented research deals with the optimal design of main girder an asymmetric box cross-section double-beam bridge crane. Moth-Flame Optimization algorithm (MFO) is used for solving this multicriteria optimization problem. This a relatively new population-based metaheuristic method. paper takes following criteria as constraint functions: strength, local stability plates (webs and top flange), longitudinal stiffeners, global girder, deflections, period oscillation. justification proposed procedure shown in one example real solution Significant savings material were achieved research, within range 19.42 to 25.49%. use enables application very large number variables functions, whereby values are obtained short period.
